Touptek SkyEye 24AC (IMX410)

Yesterday i tested this camera and i couldn't find LCG and HCG on sharpcap. Me and my community thought that was reflected in selection of RAW14 and RAW14 Ultra mode. But on other applications they distinguish those parameters from LCG and HCG therefore they are different things.
My question is where can i define the HCG and LCG on sharpcap for this camera. Thanks

maybe sharpcap does it automatically? when a certain gain is triggered?

Correct me if I am wrong, but that is something hardwired into the camara firmware... so no adjustment possible.

Hi,

SharpCap auto-switches the LCG->HCG mode at the gain level where it is first valid to engage HCG. For the IMX410 sensor, that's 500 gain. Other applications do allow a manual LCG/HCG choice, but I feel that there are issues with that approach - for one thing, most users probably don't even understand the significance of the 'HCG or LCG' question, let alone how to answer it in a particular set of circumstances. There are also some sensors where combining HCG with certain low gain ranges gives invalid results, so SharpCap can make sure the user stays out of those ranges of settings.

cheers,

Robin
