Hardware connection to only mono camera

I have a color and a mono camera. Is there a way to set the filter wheel to only connect to my 1600mm-c and not my 174mc? I always get error messages saying it couldn't connect to the filter wheel when I use my color camera. (I only use filter wheel in mono camera)

Not exactly what you want, but in SC3.1 you can set an option to *not* autoconnect to ASCOM hardware when opening a camera (it's a checkbox in with the ASCOM hardware setup). Then you won't get the warnings and will just have to tick the connected box after opening your mono camera.
