Below are links gathered on my internet travels which might help those preparing to image a solar eclipse.

Sky & Telescope 2024 Eclipse Guide https://shopatsky.com/products/2024-eclipse-guide price $11.99, 64-page.
The link is for the US shop, within the web page is a link for non-US purchase.

Eclipse e-book https://www.amazingsky.com/EclipseBook $10.99, 382 pages
I purchased this, a useful guide to planning (with checklists).

Shutter speed calculator for solar eclipses http://xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/So ... osure.html
Shows suggested settings (DSLR cameras) and images for various stages of an eclipse.

A great app that will guide you through the entire eclipse. Gives you verbal prompts for totality events, when to remove filters, beads, end of totality, etc.
Solar eclipse timer
App is free, but $1.99for the data base for specific eclipse event.
A bargain
Built in tutorial.
Lots of info on the web site.

Another link to eclipse imaging with useful background info, including exposure and ISO settings for various stages, at Roger Clark's site:

https://clarkvision.com/articles/photograph-the-sun/

Roger's plan on eclipse day is to use 5 DSLR cameras on trackers. Note the use of bracket sequences.

Hi,

Most important for our success for imaging the Solar eclipse of April 8th is the weather.

Below a link to an interesting page about weather
