Hello,
I am using a new Touptek IMX294C (ATR3CMOS10300KPA) and switched to SharpCap from NINA and APT. I have recorded some trial darks. APT and NINA show ADUs around 50-70 on the 14-bit scale. The SharpCap darks (same time, gain, temp.) give ADUs around 800. I was expecting a factor of 4 due to the 14-bit to 16-bit scaling. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you
Dirk

Re: Touptek IMX294C 14-bit to 16-bit scaling
Hi Dirk,
an increase of a factor of 4 due to scaling up to 16 bit would be expected as you say, but there is also a possibility that the 'Black level' control is set differently between the two applications - this directly controls the pedestal values added to every pixel in the image by the camera, so different settings could easily lead to the different pixel values.
cheers,
Robin
