Hi,
I have one these new strain wave iOptron mounts and I have an issue with Sharpcap gotos. The issue is this - from Sharpcap I select Tools Goto and then Deneb. The mount starts up and moves but it is doesn't point to Deneb - more like Vega. If I go to the iOptron hand controller and key in Deneb it moves the mount very close to Deneb.
Anyone had any experience with the iOptron ASCOM drivers and mounts that has seen this with Sharpcap?

Hi Ken,
the first thing that comes to mind is to check that the ASCOM driver for the iOptron has the correct latitude and longitude entered for your observing site. Also check that the time and timezone are correct. You would hope that it would get this info from the handset automatically, but maybe not, and errors in the lat/long or time could lead to incorrect GOTO movements.
