My current setup is semi-permanent outdoors. Tripod and mount permanently located outdoors, scope, camera, focuser, astro PC located indoors. So the Test Cameras are really important to me as hooking everything up (hauling everything out) is reserved for actual viewing.
There is an inconvenience when I connect the Test Cameras as SC also wants to connect to my external mount and focuser. Is there anyway to associate cameras with different mounts? Is there a test mount and focuser I can use with SC. I know my current setup attaches all devices and I like that option when I am doing actual viewing. I could undo that option but I would prefer a different option if it is possible.
BTW

Re: Test Camera - Test Mount, Focuser?
Hi,
there are a couple of possibilities here...
Option 1 is as you have suggested, turn off the 'auto connect' option. SharpCap 4.1 adds a 'Connect all' button to the toolbar (on the right, looks like a blue plug). This new button will connect all the hardware in one button press, so it's a really good way to get the hardware all working if you choose not to use auto connect.
Option 2 is a bit clunky - SharpCap has a command line option to let you access alternative sets of configuration settings by using the /instance N command line option. You could create a shortcut on the desktop that adds '/instance 2' to the command line when running SharpCap - running that will give you a completely independent SharpCap setup that you can configure to use the test mount, focuser, etc.
cheers,
Robin

Sorry forgot about the blue button which is what I will go for. Thank you for the reminder!
