setting exposure rate in sequencer

#1

Post by harveyscoot »

Hi

Can someone please advise on how to set short exposure times using the sequencer? i.e how do I set for 6.1ms etc.

Many thanks

Hi Harvey,

use a 'Set Exposure' step and type in the exact length that you want rather than using the up/down arrows to adjust. For instance, for 6.1ms enter 0.0061 into the box as the number is in seconds.

You can also use capture profiles - pre-save a profile with all your settings then load it in the sequence.

cheers,

Thanks for that Robin

Sorry, can you elaborate on how to use capture profiles? I would like to put RGB runs into Sharpcap with tailored exp and gain settings for different filters. Would appreciate if you or someone else could give examples of how to do this?

Thanks once again

Hi Harvey,

setup all the camera settings you need manually for a particular situation and then save them to a 'capture profile' - see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.1/#Capture%20Profiles

Then, once you have saved the controls into a profile, you can reload it either manually or via the sequencer step 'Load Camera Profile <Profile Name>' - see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.1/#Camera

cheers,

Robin
