astap errors: An item with the same key has already been added

#1

Post by wbendick »

Hi, I am trying to use astap with sharpcap. When I click "Test Selected Plate Solver" I get the error:

Plate solve failed - something went wrong. Error was: An item with the same key has already been added

Any ideas on what's going wrong?

Hi,

can you make sure you are on the latest SharpCap version and if it is still an issue then please post the SharpCap log captured after the issue has happened. The log should contain enough information to let me work out what is going wrong and quite likely to fix it too.

cheers,

Robin

Here is the logfile after I open Sharpcap Pro v4.09571, 64 bit and attempt a plate log:

Hi,

thanks for sharing - it looks like the ASTAP cli version is repeating some FITS header info in the output, which SharpCap wasn't expecting to happen. I will sort out a fix for the next SharpCap 4.1 update.

cheers,

Thanks Robin, I look forward to the next version. If anyone else is encountering this problem in the meantime I fixed it by downgrading astap to version v2023-08-25 available here for windows:
