Hi Don,

Thanks for the report - I hadn't spotted this one. It's an issue with the upgrade from the previous version because I had to go back to an *older* version of qhyccd.dll. For some reason the installer is not enjoying an upgrade that puts one dll back to an older version and is making a mess of it.

Please run the installer again for the new version and choose 'Repair' - it should then work.

I will try to work out a proper fix (or maybe I will get a new update from QHY that means I can remove the rollback of the qhyccd.dll).

cheers,

Robin

Hi Robin,

Looks like there is more issues with this latest version. Darks can't be generated. The process starts but nothing is saved or any frames showing to be accomplished. Also what I've notice is the first frame doesn't end when time is up but continues for what appears to be twice the exposure time. This also happens with Stacking. Again I was able to do darks with the previous version.

Hi Don,

from the log and the description, the issue you are seeing is no frames coming from the camera. In the log we see

Code: Select all

I also noticed from the log that you loaded a capture profile saved on the ZWO 1600 camera when you were using the QHY camera, which gets some warnings displayed and may fail to load some settings correctly. I don't think this is directly related to the problem, but it's best avoided.

One trick with the QHY cameras when using longer exposures is to set the 'Force Still Mode' option to On. The QHY models can have issues with longer frame lengths in live mode which can be worked around by running the camera in still mode behind the scenes. Unfortunately this can't be auto handled by SharpCap (like it is for Altair, ZWO, etc) since for some QHY cameras the resolution changes slightly between still and live mode

cheers,

Robin
