Using the 4.1.11 version (28 August 2023) - and the ASCOM Camera Driver (Canon T3i), I cant find the ISO/Gain settings anymore in the right hand window - see screen shot.
The new features (Gain Shift) seem to have dropped off. When I click on "Show" the ASCOM driver window pops up.
desired outcome; bring back ability to set ISO/Gain for ASCOM Camera Driver Camera in 4.1
thanks!

Re: 4.1 : ASCOM Camera Driver - no Gain showing
Tested this with my Canon 7D Mk2 against 4.1.11 version (28 August 2023) with ASCOM Platform 6.6 build 6.6.1.3673. For both 32 and 64-bit versions of SC, the Gain control in Camera Controls is missing. Gain is present with SC 4.0.95.38 32-bit.

Re: 4.1 : ASCOM Camera Driver - no Gain showing
Hi folks,
thanks for the report - I will test this. There is special handling for cameras with individual gains (ISO values, etc) rather than a slider like most cameras, and I suspect that has gone wrong.
cheers,
Robin

Re: 4.1 : ASCOM Camera Driver - no Gain showing
Hi,
this turns out to be a combination of a bug in ASCOM.DSLR (the collection of Gains it returns for the camera are not correct, according to the ASCOM specification) and the new ASCOM library I am using in SharpCap 4.1 not dealing with the issue without anyone noticing it.
It's not something I can fix in SharpCap itself, but I have raised issues with both the ASCOM team and the ASCOM.DSLR project - either fix would do the job, but the one from the ASCOM team would fix things for existing binary versions of ASCOM.DSLR rather than requiring everyone to get a new version fo that.

Re: 4.1 : ASCOM Camera Driver - no Gain showing
Hi Robin,
I am trying to figure out what I need to do next to overcome this bug. I am not sure if it has been fixed in a released version of ASCOM by now - I read that the latest reply on the issue tracker on github was Oct 2023, but do not know how to interpret that.
Today I am using two versions of Sharpcap on an evening. Sharpcap 4.0 : where I can set the gains of my DSRL, so I can Polar Align. Sharpcap 4.1 if I want to Push to direction - but gain default is ISO 100 - and the window to change the gain settings is not showing on the right hand side, like reported. I run ASCOM 6.6 SP1 (6.6.1.3673).
Is it resolved, so I can update ASCOM and give it another shot?
thank you,
Matt
