Feature Tracking

I've used this very successfully with Centre of Mass on planets.
Less successful on surface features of the Sun - the tracker seems to grab hold of too many features. Would it not be 'better' to allow the user to chose an area? (I tried to find something, but nothing else was available on my ApolloM).
