Dither Issue

Hey Robin,

Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to implement dithering in my sequence but I'm erroring out right after I autofocus. Here is the sequence. I'm pausing guiding while I autofocus and then after reloading the camera settings and unpausing guiding I issue a wait until guiding resumes. After I issue the command I'm getting the Dither error at the bottom because guiding is not active. Its as though it's not waiting until guiding is active to check to see if it's time to dither.

What am I doing wrong?

GUIDING DITHER EVERY 3 FRAMES
STOP AT LOCALTIME "4:00 AM"
LOOP 25 TIMES
CAPTURE 20 FRAMES REQUIREGUIDING False
BEGIN GUIDING PAUSE
PRESERVE CAMERA SETTINGS

SET CONTROL Brightness TO 0
SET GAIN TO 300
DELAY 5
DISPLAY STRETCH AUTO
AUTOFOCUS OFFSET -80 TO 90 STEP COUNT 12 BACKLASH 30
DISPLAY STRETCH RESET
DELAY 5
END PRESERVE
END GUIDING PAUSE
GUIDING WAIT
END LOOP
END STOP AT

Update: Not sure how I missed the Stop Periodic Dithering command but I did. I just bracketed the image capture commands with the start and stop dithering commands and will give that a shot tonight.

Hi,

yes, I think that should be the answer - since you haven't asked it to stop dithering, it tries again but PHD is now no longer guiding and that raises the error.

cheers,

Robin

Yup. Worked like a charm!

Now to get the meridian flip figured out!
