YouTube Tutorial - How to Choose a Camera for EAA

#1

Post by curtismacc »

Last month I posted the first video in a series of videos I am putting together to help folks who want to get into EAA. In this series I am addressing what I call the "6 Essential Tools for EAA". The first video discusses what to look for when choosing an optical tube assembly (OTA) and a mount for EAA. If you have not seen that one, you can find it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OVjamLK72g

I just released the second video in this series which addresses astro cameras. There are lots of things to consider when choosing a camera. Do I need a cooled camera? Is mono better than color? How do I figure out which camera best matches my OTA's focal length. How do chip and pixel size play into my decision? I try to address all of these questions and more in a logical and detailed manner. If you are trying to figure out what camera you should get I think you will find this video helpful. Even if you already have a camera you might still find some of the information enlightening. And if you are already an expert please take a look and let me know if I missed anything significant. This new video can be found here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFueKEuELOc][/url]

I appreciate any feedback

Best Regards,

Curtis
