ZWO ASI MM 120 Mini

Hallo Sharpcap,
Bin zum ersten mal in diesem Forum
Benutze die ASI ZWO MM120mini sowie ASI ZWO 294 MC mit Sharpcap.
Bei 294MC ist alles OK
Bei 120MM ist der Button „Livebild (W)“ grau. Also nicht in Funktion.
An was kann das liegen?
Für eine Rückinfo vielen Dank

I'm in this forum for the first time
Use the ASI ZWO MM120mini and ASI ZWO 294 MC with Sharpcap.
Everything is OK at 294MC
At 120MM, the "Live image (W)" button is gray. So not in function.
What could be due to this?

Hi Carlos,

I'm afraid that still mode is not supported for the USB2 versions of the ASI120MM/MC cameras - we tested and found those cameras to be very unreliable in still mode, particularly at higher bit depths, so rather than make still mode available and have everyone encounter the unreliability problems, those cameras are restricted to live mode only in SharpCap.

Hallo Robin,
Eine Frage bleibt.
Wie kann ich dann mit Sharpcap die Fokussierung mit der ZWO ASI MM 120 Mini durchführen.
Die Sharpcap Tools zur Fokussierung funktionieren ja nur wenn ich schon nah am optimalen Fokus bin.
Vielleicht kannst du mir diese Frage noch beantworten.
Das wäre super, da ich auch noch eine Celestron NexImage 10 habe. Hier ist das Problem genau das gleiche.

Hi Carlos,

the focus tools are only designed to work from a position that is already relatively close to good focus (particularly the autofocus system). If you think about it, when you are a long way out of focus, stars (for example) become very large, very faint disks that are hard for the software to detect. I think the current star detection will cope with out-of-focus stars up to about 64 pixels across, providing they are bright enough, however the other focus tools such as contrast detection will not work so far from best focus.
