Problems with camera sensor analysis

#1

Post by sharky1961 »

good evening,
I did a Camera sensor analysis with my QHY 268C. No problems.
When I do camera sensor analysis with my QHY 294PROC It stopped at: Status: checking Binning
waiting ......4 more frames
It did the analysis several times but always get this problem.
Does somebody has a solution for this problem or cann't sharpcap do a sensor analysis for this camera.
best regards
Rob

Hi Rob,

it sounds like the camera is not starting running again after switching binning either from 1x1 to 2x2 or back again. There is a checkbox at the beginning of the analysis procedure that you can use to disable the binning check, which should get you past this issue. The binning check is only to determine if the camera does on-sensor binning pre-readout (CCD) or maths based binning post-readout (CMOS). SharpCap will assume the CMOS option if the check is not carried out, so you lose nothing by skipping it.

cheers,

Robin
