Hello,
I have just purchased a SV105, my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 10 Home 64bit.
Sharpcap 4.0.9464.0 64bit, keeps saying the camera has disconnected.
Any idea the best version of Sharpcap to run for the SV105.
Cheers,
Colin

Re: Svbony SV105
Hi Colin,
not sure that the version will make a great deal of difference - the most likely cause of the message you are seeing is that the camera is actually disconnecting from USB and Windows is sending out a 'device lost' notification. SharpCap then matches this up with the camera that it currently has open and shows the 'camera disconnected' notification as a clean way of handling the situation.
If you look in the SharpCap log after the disconnect then you will find lines like
If the camera is doing this disconnection from USB then it's not clear that a different version of the software will help - instead try different USB ports and remove any USB extension cables if you are using any.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Svbony SV105
Robin,
Thank you, for the information.
I have tried different USB ports, it could be a faulty cable I suppose.
I'll contact Svbony about a different cable, also I have discovered that the SV105 is only supported on Sharpcap via the laptop webcam driver.
Cheers,
Colin

Hi Colin,
that's correct about the webcam drivers - the SV105 and 205 are basic cameras that are only supported as webcams. The SV305 and above are directly supported using the camera SDK, so have more functionality available.
