I have a Pegasus motor focuser (not the FocusCube) which is controlled by an Ultimate Powerbox. But I can't manage to ever get SharpCap to talk to it.
Is this this the correct setting?
When I try to change the focus i just get this
Can't get my focuser to work with SharpCap

Re: Can't get my focuser to work with SharpCap
Hi,
The setting you have chosen in the hardware looks fine, however there may be more settings that you can adjust that might just help - try clicking the 'Properties' button to the right of the focuser choice and see what you can adjust there.
The error message that you are getting looks like an internal one from the focuser ASCOM driver - 'MotorMoveAbsolute' is not something that is part of SharpCap. Given that, it's also worth checking that you have the very latest version of the ASCOM driver for your Pegasus device and if you do already have the latest, try contacting the very nice guys at Pegasus to see if they have any suggestions on what might be causing that specific error.
thanks,
Robin

Thanks Robin.
I am puzzled because this focuser works fine in NINA (which uses the native Pegasus driver via a UPBv2)
Are you sure 'motor move absolute' is not a Sharpcap command? Because that error was generated by my pressing the focuser IN arrow in the camera control panel

Re: Can't get my focuser to work with SharpCap
Hi,
so when you press the 'in' button, SharpCap sends a move command to the focuser ASCOM driver, which I think internally is using the MotorMoveAbsolute command, which is the thing that is failing.
If you can make it happen again while connected to the network, can you use the 'Report Error' button to send me a bug report which will contain all the info regarding the problem. I can then have another check and if appropriate pass the issue on to the guys from Pegasus.
cheers,
Robin

Ok Robin I seem to have managed to fix the issue by just upgrading to the latest ASCOM (6.6 SP1) and the latest Pegasus drivers as you suggested. Thanks for your help!

Hi Stuart,
that's good news - now all you need is some clear sky... Not looking hopeful in the weather forecast for Oxfordshire at the moment
cheers,
Robin

Do you have the Ultimate app connected at the same time? Logically the app needs
to be connected to provide the power etc, unless the app is just reporting from the Hub.
