Measure Brightness of

nice easy one for you.
On the smart brain tab i have the" measure brightness of" I am using a ZWO533MC PRO. what drop down do i select or do i measure all

Hi,
no simple answer sadly...
Selecting blue or darkest will often give very long exposure recommendations since blue is usually the darkest channel and can often be much darker than the others as a lot of light pollution is in the yellow/orange part of the spectrum. On the other hand, not many astronomical targets have much blue nebulosity of interest, so you may not care much about optimizing for the blue channel and might prefer to choose red or green.
As you can see, it all depends on the target you are looking at - perhaps picking the channel that contains the most prominent colour of your target would be a good bet.
