Clouds were coming and going. First run at The Brain was polluted by passing clouds when it recommended 46-second subs. When the clouds cleared the sky became dark and transparent even though the 8-day old Moon was only 20 degrees away. The second run at The Brain recommended an exposure of 106 seconds at the same gain. I went with that but after a few frames I realized that my guiding wasn't up to it, so I reduced the exposure to 46 seconds. I collected a total of 78 sub frames but I had to discard about 30 frames due to clouds. Of the remaining 48 frames I had Deep Sky Stacker discard another 20% due to guiding imperfections.
39 Lights, 10 Darks, 10 Bias
(I tried to do Flats but I did not have a strong enough red light source and I did not want to leave the scope out all night.)
