Hi,
yep, that looks good - pretty much what I would expect based on analysis data I've seen for other cameras based on the 533 from different brands. I'd be starting off at 100 gain with that camera

The analysis for my ASI533mm pro is very similar. What offset would you recommend? I've done Dale Ghent's process to see what offset is necessary to keep the histogram off the left edge but I'm curious what you recommend, Robin.

Hi,
the answer depends on the gain you choose, since higher gains spread out the dark histogram peak more, meaning a higher offset is needed. It's therefore impossible to give a single answer to this. Using the Smart Histogram 'Brain' functionality will work this out for you.

Thanks, Robin. I kind of expected that answer. I was surprised at the ZWO presets that are included in the firmware which all have an offset of 70 suggested. Didn't make sense to me that they would do that.
