Multi Mode Sensor Analysis

#1

Post by pgraham1 »

Question: QHY 268C Sensor Analysis
How do I capture the 4 different modes so they are stored properly to use with the N.I.N.A. autoexposure routine?
I ran the 16 Bit sensor analysis for High Gain Mode. If I run it again under Photographic Mode 0, will it wipe out my High Gain results?

Since there are 4 modes for QHY will I run the sensor analysis for each Mode?
0 - Photographic
1 - High Gain
2 - Extended Full Well
3 - 2CMS

Is there a way to test/capture all modes by starting the Sensor Analysis Tool once and letting it run?

Hi,

you have to test each mode manually, but the results should not overwrite each other. SharpCap understands that different camera read modes may affect the results, so they need to be stored separately (just as different bit depth can affect the results). You should see the name of the read mode appear in the sensor analysis data file. Please make sure you are using a recent version of SharpCap 4, as dealing with the read mode change properly was not in some older versions of SharpCap.

cheers,

Robin
