For my QHY268M camera I tried the sensor analysis by typing the command (see attachment( into the script console).
After start it seems to check also the gain values in one stap Gain. Thats good..
But then when it comes to the last run with uncovered camera it fails when changing back from 2:2 binning mode back to 1:1 binning mode.
It is only written:
"Changing back to 1:1 binning mode", "Checking binning mode after change"
And nothing happens anymore..
What can In do?
Who can help me?
Thanks

Re: Sensor Analysis fails after chang back to 1:1 binning mode
Hi,
it sounds like after the switch back to 1x1 binning mode there are no frames coming from the camera. The simplest solution is to just disable the binning check by ticking the 'Skip binning measurements' checkbox at the start of the analysis process. If you do this then the analysis data will not have info about how the camera performs binning (ie is it pre-readout binning as on a CCD or post-readout digital binning on a CMOS sensor, which can itself be either additive or averaging). Anyway, without that data the smart histogram suggestions when binning is enabled may not be correct, but you may not be worried about that.
Another alternative is to try running the analysis with the camera in still mode - it might be that the different mode helps get past whatever glitch is causing the loss of frames after changing the binning back to 1x1
cheers,
Robin

Re: Sensor Analysis fails after chang back to 1:1 binning mode
Hi, I did not see a function where I can skip the binning before starting the analysis.
After start it just tells me to adjust the window size..
The same with "Still mode". It is always automatically in "still mode".
Thanks

Hi,
it's before the select area stage - the very first screen you see - look at the screenshot here for the checkbox just above the 'Start' button: https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Runnin ... 20Analysis
cheers,
Robin

I see thanks.
But "Still mode" is ok for that?
I never changed to an other mode..

Hi,
yes, still mode is fine for either binning tests on or off in the analysis.
cheers,
Robin
