Hi Robin,

No problems were found on another PC with W10-64.
making the options of selected object types/catalogs/information get saved and restored
Good!
And "nearby" is also a very good feature, thanks for the explanation.

Only some little (?) things:

Because one can add several entries by clipboard pasting, could you add an option to delete rows in "Objects in View"?

Regarding the "Deep Sky Annotation Results" window: Is an option to minimize this window possible?, also changing its size? And - this window cannot be moved behind SC's main window, a feature?

Hi Christian,

the goal with the window being always in front of SharpCap was to avoid it getting lost, and also to make a clear and easy way to get rid of the annotations by closing the window. I could allow resize to make it bigger, but not smaller (it's about as small as it can be for the content it needs to hold). I can give it a minimize box, but then it needs to show in the taskbar to be able to bring it back - I did wonder about that. Is it just getting in the way too much?

cheers,

Robin

OK, Robin,

As for your last post, I understand it now and think we should leave it as it is now.

Robin,

Have been trying (and showing off) the new annotation feature in SharpCap on my last couple of livestreams. It is fantastic!

One nitpick though, when using the dark theme, the annotation results window is still in blinding white color. Any chance it can be darkened too?

Actually, I see from the pictures above that on others' machines it is dark. Hmmm. Why isn't it on mine? I do have the dark theme selected as it's all I use...

Hi Mike,

please try switching to the new UI/dark theme setting - see viewtopic.php?p=27288#p27288 - that will get the dark window and also make more of the main UI dark than you are used to.

I expect I just need a couple of extra lines of code to get the window to be dark in the old mode (without that checkbox ticked) - I will check.

cheers,

Robin

On CN some contributors (Cey & Martin) have published csv files for PGC, HCG and Arp objects:

https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/8069 ... p=11671699

Tested these and they work very well.

Thanks to both CN members.

Hello Robin,

Should it be possible to have the "Deep Sky Annotation Results" SETTINGS automatically saved before closing the results window?
For the moment they are reset after restart of the program.

Thanks considering this in a future update.

Roel,

Back in post #50 in this thread Robin stated that was definitely on his list to get to.
