Two nice ideas that I would also welcome.

And, for the sake of completeness, an indication of N and E ?

One cosmetic thing.

Highlighted lines appear in blue (nice colour).

After changing the mouse focus, these lines turn white, which disturbs the dark mode a little.

Hi,

I will have a look at the background thing - it is the UI changing between having the mouse focus (blue background) and not having it (white).

For the directions, you can always flip quickly to the 'pixel position readout' tool which shows that information. I don't know if putting the same sort of info onto the annotation would start to feel over cluttered maybe?

cheers,

Yes, that is enough.

And the FOV size is shown after plate solving is done.

I get that the 'Clear' button next to the 'Pasted from Clipboard' catalog button clears that catalog, but what does the 'Clear and Reload Custom Catalogs' button do?

Hi,

it reloads the custom catalogs without needing to restart SharpCap to do it - mainly helpful for those who are tinkering with their own catalogs, since they can edit those files and reload them without the delay of shut SharpCap, reopen, open camera, grab frame, plate solve, see if you got it right...

cheers,

Hi,

I had to put out a new update to fix a crash in the new UI mode, so the new buttons shown above are now available in 4.0.8655.

cheers,

Hi,

Initial tests revealed no problems. Deep Sky Image Annotation has become an excellent tool.
