Hi,

Robin, thanks for the quick reply.

Exception, here under W7:
Clipboard01.jpg

I attach some files including a FITS (without annotations) that is saved despite of SC crash, also some logs. As I wrote, it occurs when I press the button "Save Image with Annotations", under W7-64 and also under W10-64 21H2.

OccultWatcher integration
An 'add target from clipboard' button will be what is needed for OccultWatcher integration then I think.
Yes.

Cheers, Christian

Ah,

creating the image with annotations involves saving it first without and then re-loading and drawing on the annotations. For some reason the initial save is happening as FITS, when it should be fixed as PNG for this functionality. That stops it from being reloaded properly. I will try to work out how it is doing that.

cheers,

Robin

Hello Christian,
procyon12 wrote: Tue Jan 18, 2022 9:38 pm After some investigation I found that our community tool "OccultWatcher" can provide RA/DEC to the clipboard (with one mouse click only); the example here has no relation to the above
can you tell me where I have to click in OcculWatcher?
I can't find it...

Thanks!

Hello Stefan,

In the latest OW (5.0.0.5) go to Add-ins > Configure Add-ins > OW Little Helpers (if you are missing the add-in, download it from http://www.hristopavlov.net/OccultWatc ... ddins.html, there are also hints how to install):
Clipboard06.png
Clipboard06.png (75.98 KiB) Viewed 5086 times
and you should find:
Clipboard07.png
Clipboard07.png (19.08 KiB) Viewed 5086 times
Make a backup copy of the current tags.
Add the tags: %StarRA% and %StarDE%
Keep %StarName%; delete all others, then you now have:
Clipboard08.png
Clipboard08.png (18 KiB) Viewed 5086 times
In OW go to the event and using the right mouse button choose Copy info to Clipboard.

Cheers, Christian

Hi Christian,

I am on V5.0.0.5, but I do not see that "OW little helpers" plugin, unfortunately.
Where can I get it?

Hi Christian,

I already tried this, but the link there is broken.
I will contact Hristo.

Thanks
Stefan

Sorry others for the slightly deviating discussion on OccultWatcher, but still related to Deep Sky Image Annotation...

@roelb

What setup are you using? The annotations can move if your mount is connected in SharpCap but not tracking (even if you are using a simulated mount for testing).

Indeed Robin, I was using a scope simulator. When I disconnect it no shifting is taking place.
Thanks for the clarification.

Hi,
When using the new interface, the Deep Sky Annotation Results List is not displayed.
