How do I record a script in the script editor?

The record button seems always grayed out. The only way I learn how to script something is by recording an example.

Hi,

there is no record button - I think that you are looking at the button with the red square on, which is the 'Stop' button that stops any script that is currently running - it should enable while a script is running, then go back to disabled if it finishes.

To use the scripting editor, you have to write python code, various discussions and examples can be found on these pages

https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/fea ... -scripting
https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#!2!Scripting

and more can be found in the scripting subforum

cheers,
