Hi, Robin
The ASI482MC camera is already running as it should. Thanks for version 4.0.8667.0.

Hi, Robin
the ASI482MC helps me improve DSO images from a tripod with LiveStack SharpCapPro.

_ZWO ASI482MC_2022-02-19T21_20_01__Stack_217_frames_659s_u.jpg (167.32 KiB) Viewed 1104 times
PENTACON Auto 2.8/135, UVIR Cut filter, 3 s, gain 558.
At full gain, however, it gives annoying light streaks at the top and bottom of the image.
Can the stripes be reduced in any way?
Regards

Hi,

it sounds a bit like you are getting some sensor glow on your images - you could try turning down the gain a bit (maximum gain is rarely best for deep sky imaging), or alternatively try using dark frame subtraction if you aren't already to remove the sensor glow - see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Captur ... k%20Frames

cheers,

Robin

I had the same issue with the asi482mc, when the gain was increased the screen got bright turning to white (camera capped). After downloading the latest updates for SharpCap 4.0 increasing the gain no longer brightens the screen when the camera is capped.
