I think I just lost 3.3% of my 2021 Pro license?

So my Pro license was going to expire on the 28th of December, and SharpCap had reminded me a couple of times now that it might be a good time to renew. So tonight I did. But my new 1 year license says that it is only good until December 16th, 2022. Clearly I should have waited until the very last minute to renew.

Note: I'm not really upset about this and I don't want anything done personally about my case; SharpCap Pro is amazing and cheap. But it does seem like this is probably not the intended behavior, as it might piss some users off or discourage early renewal.

Hi,

the most likely cause of this is that you used a different email address when renewing to the one that was used for your previous license. If you use the same email address then our license server can spot that you are renewing and extend the new license by 2 months added to the expiry date of your old license. If the email address is different then you are effectively a new customer as far as the license generation is concerned.

If you send me both email addresses via private message here on the forums then I can reissue your new license with the correct expiry date.

PS. If anyone wants to know why the renewals only work properly with the same email address, the answer is that the only other alternative would be to make everyone have a 'SharpCap Store' login with a password, and to be honest, who needs yet another password to remember...
