Series of sequences

#1

Post by DanK »

How do I set up and execute several series of sequences?

For example I set up 240 subs of 30 seconds of M33 followed by the same settings for NGC1499 etc. same Gain, same dithering values, plate solving , PhD2 guiding etc...?

I am finding doing one sequence quite easy but I would like to do several one after the other without having to set each one up, in person, separately.

Yes nothing beats automation ;)

Hi Dan,

one way is to save each sequence that you want to run as an SCS file (this would require you to use the 'advanced edit' button and save from the editor if you started in the sequence planner). Once you have a number of SCS files, you can create a 'master' sequence that will run each of them in turn using the 'Run the sequence of steps in ...' step (see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Advanced).

cheers,

Hi Robin:

Sounds exciting but not sure if I will have it mastered right away. Good to know it can be done though!
