Quick question, is this possible? Just follow the manual guidelines or will I just be wasting my time using this camera to live stack?

I think you will struggle to make this work - the camera has very small pixels and (if I remember correctly) hasn't got a particularly long maximum exposure. Both of these count against it for any sort of live stacking or deep sky imaging
