This should be an easy one to do, as it is in the sequencer.

For the end of the evening could we have a simple button to initiate the steady warm up of the camera rather than just turning off the cooling?

Ideally, this would not affect the default status of the camera, so you can expect it to starts cooling automatically at switch on.
