How do I program a Jupiter capture with:
3 videos with duration of 1.2 seconds each video?
What frame rate should a Jupiter video have?
And how to program this frame rate?
How many frames will this video of Jupiter have?

Hi
I don't have that much experience with program/sequence for SharpCap, so that's for others to answer
Your question on the framerate depends on your equipment and settings in SharpCap.
The framerate (FPS) depends mainly on your exposure time. You can get higher FPS with shorter exposure times and lower FPS with longer exposure times. So in essence, you "program" the framerate with the exposure time. But how much that is, really depends on your telescope and camera. For example: a telescope with a larger aperture can likely have higher FPS because it gathers more light. It's a matter of experimenting and finding the balance between good quality of your capture and FPS.
How many frames the video will have, depends on your framerate. Lets say you want to capture a 1 minute video with 20 FPS. That gives 20 frames x 60 seconds = 1200 frames.
There is a rule of thumb though that I know of when you want to stack the frames of a video: a maximum of around 60 seconds. This because when your video is too long and you want to stack all the frames into 1 image, the rotation of Jupiter becomes visible.

See my post in this topic
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=211 for some ideas on settings for Jupiter capture.
https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Captur ... d%20Images.
Time Limit and
Performing Simple Sequences will give you the method for capturing multiple videos of a given duration.

1. See
https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Colour ... 0Explained
2. SER is usually used for video with a camera such as the ASI249MC. AVI
may run into size limitations with longer captures.
3. See Capture Format and Area

Hi,
there is a 'Capture Format' chooser on the right - that lets you select between video formats (like SER or AVI) and still photography formats (PNG, TIFF, etc). By default it is in 'Auto' mode, which changes to video formats for short exposures and still formats for longer exposures. This determines what you will get when using 'Start Capture' or 'Quick Capture'.
There is also a 'Snapshot' button - that *always* takes a still image.
Hope this helps,
Robin
