Celestron Nightscape 8300
The info I have read on the SharpCap Pro software claims it will support all Celestron Cameras. While the Celestron SKYRIS USB 3.0 is listed, the Nightscape is not. Does anyone know if the Nightscape camera 8300 is supported by SharpCap Pro? Thanks, Steve.

Re: Celestron Nightscape 8300
Hi,
The Nightscape 8300 pre-dates the current generation of Celestron (Skyris type) cameras, but people have had some success using it in SharpCap by using the ASCOM driver for the camera. As I recall from the last report I had, the image came through correctly (you have to select the debayer mode manually for a colour camera). I believe that the cooling did not turn on in response to changing that setting, although it may be possible to turn it on using the ASCOM camera config dialog.
cheers,
Robin
