Does the beta work on Windows7?

I tried installing both latest versions with and without Sharpcap 3.2 uninstalled.
I get an error message:
0x80070490 - Element not found
Does 4.0 simply not work on Windows 7?

Hi,
I haven't made any changes since 3.2 that I would expect to stop Win7 from working, but I must admit to not having a Win7 machine to hand to test on.
Some things to check:
* You must have Win7 SP1, not just Win7
* Make sure Windows Update is up to date
* Try installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 manually before installing SharpCap 4.0
Meanwhile, I will test Win7SP1 to see what I see.

Hi,
W7 is my main machine and 3.2 and always the latest 4 beta work in parallel without any problems.
W7 Home Premium, 64 bit, SP1,
Intel i7, 16 GB RAM,
Framework 4.8 is installed,
MS has not had W7 support for a long time.

Hi,
yes, I can confirm W7.1 works fine too - fresh install of W7.1, run full windows update (you have to install some updates manually first before windows update will work). Once there were no more updates suggested I installed SharpCap 4.0 and it worked no problem.

It was .NET 4.8 that was missing.

Hi,
glad you got it sorted - .NET 4.8 should install automatically if it is missing and you are online, it also gets installed by Windows update if you let it install all updates.
