Extra File After Dither

The latest beta 4.0.7806 produces an additional 1 second file after coming out of dither. The last version of 3.2 does not.

Can I just confirm the context here? Live stacking with PHD2?
Do either of you have a log you can share?

PHD2 yes, dithering after every 3 to 5 min sub.
Don't have the log file but this is a problem that was occurring in an earlier version of 3.2 which I guess you cured. I was surprised to see it return.
It looks like the extra file is a 1 second long sub at the end of dither . If you have a dither flag set maybe don't reset it until a few seconds into the next regular sub > 1sec. Use that flag to suspend file saving.

Hi Rick,
can you check the option setting in Live Stacking for 'Raw Frames' - if that is set to 'Save All' then what you are seeing is correct - the 1s frames get saved. For the other options the problem should not occur - it would be interesting to know what option you do have set.

Hi all,
I have exactly the same with 4 which didn't occur with 3.2. However it has never been a practical issue for me since I always use the brightness and FWHM filtering. The 1s frames always fail this hurdle - and therefore do not get saved. I save only the raw frames that are stacked.

Hi,
I let my setup run with PHD2 in simulator mode, dithering every 50s and a camera running 15s exposures for 3 hours yesterday and did not get *any* 1s frames saved...
Are you folks getting them intermittently or every dither? What length exposures are you using and what guiding periods do you have?
