Hi,
I have a Celestron CN8 on an AVX mount and Sharpcap pro. I guide with PHD2. I can successfully use Sharpcap to Polar Align. I have been using ASPA with the AVX until now. My question is, when do I align the telescope using the hand controller and 2+4 alignment stars? Before or after using Sharpcap to Polar Align?
Thanks for your patience. I get the feeling that I'm missing something in my understanding of the process.
Tony

Re: Sharp cap and telescope alignment
Hi Tony,
you would do the alignment with the hand controller after using SharpCap to Polar align. If you align with the hand controller first then you invalidate those measurements when you adjust the polar axis.
hope this helps,
Robin
