Sharpcap sees the camera and connects to it but when I do sensor analysis nothing happens, it goes through the routine, but when "The selection area rectangle will also appear in the image preview area." there is nothing. any ideas?

sometimes the selection rectangle can become very small, making it hard or impossible to see. Recent SharpCap versions change it to two red arrows when it is too small to see - like this
If you see these arrow, hold the mouse over them, hold down the CTRL key and scroll up using the mouse wheel - this will gradually zoom in until you get to the point where you can see the selection rectangle and make it bigger.

If you use the SharpCap 4.0 beta, you can just double click anywhere on the image - that will re-size and re-center the selection rectangle about the point where you click.

I had a small arrow only one and it was in the far upper left corner. I will try again and see. Thank you
