Hi
I have a sony A7III and having trouble polar aligning so I am trying sharpcap
I have installed the drivers and sharpcap can see the camera and it connects

As soon as I do that it takes one picture, then closes forcefully without giving me any indication of error or why

Can anyone help? I would love to get this working and will buy if I can get it to work

try the SharpCap 4.0 beta version which tends to work better with DSLR cameras (you can turn off 'Live View' so that images are only taken on request rather than all the time).

If you get any error message show up then please post the details of it here. Having said that, it's also worth asking the question of the developer(s) of the ASCOM driver you are using for your Sony camera to see if they have advice. It's quite possible that the crash is coming from that ASCOM driver.
