Hi,

SharpCap expects astap to be installed in the default location (c:\Program Files (x86)\Astap\Astap.exe on 64 bit windows, c:\Program Files\Astap\Astap.exe on 32-bit Windows). The install path setting for plate solving only applies to the other (astrometry.net) plate solving applications, not to Astap.

Cheers, Robin

Sorry,

I should also mention that it might be a good idea to try the SharpCap 3.3 beta ( https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sha ... s/3-3-beta ) - that has a 'Plate Solver Detection Status' report at the bottom of the settings page - makes it much easier to work out what is going on when configuring them.

cheers,

Robin

Thanks Robin , will give it a go and make sure asap is loaded in the correct directory location .

Have been very impressed with plate solve in Astroberry , super quick etc and am playing with windows on raspberry to see if I can get sharpcap pro to run on it .
