Tutorial for newcomer to connect and control a mount

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the concept of connecting and controlling a mount with a PC and I was wondering if there was a tutorial available showing step by step how to do this? I have a skywatcher EQ6-R mount and a dell windows 10 laptop and would be connecting through the HC using a USB mini cable. I would like to do as much as I can within sharpcap as opposed to using another program, if possible. My imaging scopes are an Orion 115ED triplet f/7 and a c8 edge with both the .7x reducer and a hyperstar option, and I have a 50mm guide scope (190mm f/l) and camera.
