Hi, Robin.

Other than the gain confusion, the gain works on its own scale, correct? And are there any other issues running a QHY128C? I figured this must be the place to ask, since I'm thinking of buying one.

Hi,

I believe this is one of the models that has separate gain values for each colour channel. I'm afraid I can't recommend it personally as I have used it – perhaps another forum users will be able to come up with useful information. I would certainly be on the lookout myself for some positive reports before parting with that amount of money on a camera!
