Hello
My name is Menno, I am from the Netherlands.
Busy for a week now with SharpCap and I love it!! But only today I discovered that my mount also can be connected to it.
And it does connect, I can slew and set the speed. But ... when the mount is connected, SC has a very short stutter *every* second. I did time it and it is exactly every second. So not only the stream from my camera but the whole program.
Tried everything mentioned here about the USB 3 settings. Did everything besides using another PC.
Did uninstall Ascom drivers, camera drivers and Sharpcap. Installed all and the same. Tried the 64bit version of SC, also the same.
SharpCap Pro, version: 3.2.6298.0 - 18-04-20
Camera: Zwo ASI385MC
Mount: Meade LX65 AudioStar Firmware A4S4. connected with serial cable directly to PC. No problems with other programs.
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit, all up to date.
Software: all Ascom drivers up to date, Zwo software up to date. Meade ... well, there up to date is like 10 years old ... except the firmware.
Edit: forgot to add a logfile. Don't know if this will do, was experimenting with mount and SC this afternoon.
Exact every second a short freeze of SharpCap when mount is connected

Re: Exact every second a short freeze of SharpCap when mount is connected
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this – it's almost certainly caused by SharpCap updating the mount coordinates once per second. I haven't seen it be a problem before, but perhaps the Meade mount responds less quickly to those update requests than some other brands. The good news is that if you are capturing then you shouldn't be losing frames because of this – the capturing of frames from the camera and saving them to file would not be blocked just because the UI is momentarily paused. On the other hand, it's obviously not ideal so I will try to fix the problem for the next SharpCap 3.2 update.
Cheers, Robin

Good to hear!
And indeed not really ideal: for example finetuning the slider for gain and that gets halted every second. It's like working in stop-motion
But for now no biggie and okay: I will just not use the connection to the mount in SC, will use another prog for mount control.
