I am doing DSO imaging with a ZWO ASI1600 Cooled camera.
On my SharpCap, at the top, there are these 2 items (among others):
Target name (you can type in this box)
and
Frame Type (you select from a droplist)
Light
Dark
Flat
Bias
FlatDark
SharpCap will put the Target name in a folder name, but it does not put the selected image type (Light, Dark, etc.) anywhere that I can see, either in a folder name or an image name.
How do I get the selected image type (Light, Dark, etc.) to work?

Re: Naming folders or images
Hi,
You need to use the manual filename templates in order to be able to put the frame type in the file name – see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Filenames%20Tab
Cheers, Robin

Thanks Robin,
I check the box in Sharpcap Settings\Edit Filename Templates Manually. What happens then?
How do I actually use the filename templates to name files.

Hi,
That information is also in the documentation at the end of the section on file naming – see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Filename%20Templates
Cheers, Robin
