yes, there's certainly a possibility of things like using image registration or disc detection during the mosaic run to verify the positioning of each panel. However, the way the mosaic works at the moment, those things are a bit tricky to add... I'm sure you've worked out that the mosaic runs using the sequencing engine, which really requires everything pre-calculated up front, allowing the sequencing engine to then play through the series of steps required. That doesn't fit very nicely with the idea of live adjustments to positioning, etc (at least not without some fairly interesting custom sequencer steps being added!)
