Hi,
the feature was added after the last time the SharpCap manual was updated, so there is no definitive guide. You will find various youtube videos by people using the tool that you will find with a quick search, so those may be worth a watch. The other thing to do is to practice - all you need is a previously saved SER file of Saturn (or Jupiter to be honest). Run SharpCap and drag the SER file from Windows explorer into SharpCap - that will load the SER file into 'Test Camera 2 (High Speed)' and SharpCap will play back the SER file on a loop. You can then activate Planetary live stacking and play with the features. To increase the frame playback rate, halve the exposure and double the gain (that keeps the brightness the same).
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin.
I used often this function and it went well. Yesterday afternoon I uploaded the Sept. 29 version and then in the evening the crash started happening. I will be watching the next update, since it’s Saturn season for me now.
By the way, Sharp Solve Ultra Resolution work s extremely well for my 2250 mm SCT, and polar alignement with my 260 mm refractor wa so easy to use.
Keep the good work Robin!

Hi,
next update should be Monday with this issue fixed - if not, as mentioned above, just pop back to the earlier version to avoid the problem.
Good to hear that the plate solving is working well at long focal lengths/small FOV
cheers,
Robin
