Hello,
In the past I modified an Meade finder and the Vixen flip mirror a little bit.
I shorted the tube of the Meade finder, I add a thread on the 2" part of the Vixen flip mirror.
I drilled 2 fixing threads for the mounting of the holder.
The eyepiece is a cheap TS with a reticule and dioptric adjustment.
Regards,
Jean-Francois

Re: Q:About Plate Solving During Star Alignment
You folks,
Thank you for the additional information. It's very helpful.
I also found the review of the BS Astro flip mirror very interesting.
As expected, it seems that fine-tunings are necessary to match the focal length with the equipment I have.
Also,Considering the use of a Barlow lens and a camera with a small sensor size,
a mechanism that allows precise adjustment of the mirror angle is essential.
The flip mirror is also great for combining visual observation and EAA.
It seems more enjoyable, especially when showing it to children, as they can also enjoy visual observation.
Best Regards,
Takuya
