Re: ASI2600DUO Fan
Hi,
thanks for the log. I've checked through the larger one (which shows the camera being opened and used) and I can see you trying to turn the cooler on and off and also (by the look of it) trying to alter the 'Fan Adjust' control. At a few points, the cooler power percentage is reported back as 1% rather than zero by the SDK, but I can't see an obvious pattern in when that happens.
There are a number of controls that might influence the cooler/fan on the ZWO cameras - it's probably worth checking that you are adjusting all of them to see if one of them proves to be the 'magic' that gets things going
* Cooler On/Off
* Target Temperature (I have seen coolers not work sometimes until this is adjusted, but I don't think that was on ZWO cameras)
* Fan on/off
* Fan Adjust (whatever that is/does - I haven't seen it on my cameras).
Most of those should appear in the 'Thermal COntrols' section on the right, but do check the 'Misc Controls' section too - that's where SharpCap puts anything that the ZWO SDK reports as available but SharpCap doesn't know how to categorize.
Looking at the log, I found that some of the info that I had hoped to gain actually doesn't get recorded in the log, so I am correcting that for the next update.
It would be interesting to find out if others are having the same issue or not - I will see if I can find other SharpCap 2600 DUO users.
cheers,
Robin

Re: ASI2600DUO Fan
Robin, your comment about the "Miscellaneous" panel was the key to success.
For some reason, fan speed setting is not in the camera settings and I had the Misc panel closed so I didn't see that it was set to 0.
As soon as I moved it the fan started to rotate.
Problem solved!
Thanks for the excellent support.

Re: ASI2600DUO Fan
Hi Marco,
thanks for reporting back on that - I will change the code to put the fan speed in the thermal controls panel and also consider auto-turning the fan speed to maximum when turning the cooler on. I don't think any of my cameras support the variable fan speed, so I didn't notice the control was in the wrong block.
cheers,
Robin
