not necessarily - Windows-on-Arm will emulate x86 (32 and 64 bit), although with some noticeable performance degradation. In fact, it looks like it is *not* the arm version, since I have only ever published one arm version to download (4.1.11621) and it's not that version that is being mentioned.

cheers,

So I can confirm the ToupTek G3M678M works natively on the Sharpcap 64 bit on Windows ARM on Mac Parallel 20.
I just install the latest Sharpcap 64bit download from Sharpcap and it just works, without any additional driver. no noticable performance downgrade for me (I'm using a Macbook Pro M4 with 24GB of memory).
The ZWO ASI 224MC also works, but you'll have to install an ARM driver for the camera. The driver can be found here. Since it's not signed, you have to disable driver signing enforcement on Win 11 to be able to install the driver. The guide to do this available here https://www.prajwaldesai.com/disable-dr ... indows-11/ I follow the first guide.
The ARM driver for ASI can be found here.

The QHY5III 178M sadly, doesn't work at all. It shows up as "WestBridge" in the device list, seems we need a Windows ARM driver for this. Come on QHY! If I can get QHY to work then I'm a happy camper.

Hi,

thanks for the useful information. I guess that you are using the normal x64 version of SharpCap as you are getting the ZWO camera to work. The one arm version I uploaded only had support for ToupTek cameras (the only manufacturer that makes a Windows arm64 SDK available at the moment).

I guess we are still waiting for Windows-on-Arm to have enough users to push the camera manufacturers to support it.

cheers,

Robin
