Syncing SharpCap Pro 3.2 With Stellarium

#1

Post by directgumby »

Hello,

I've really been enjoying Stellarium and I was wondering how one might go about syncing the two tighter?
Is this done through the mount because it knows the location?
Or, what is the best way to do this - if it can be done?

Thank you for your time and help,
Brett

I use ASCOM POTH to command the same scope from within different programs.
I also use "StellariumScope".

Hi,

Yes, Stellarium Scope is probably the way to go here – it lets Stellarium take control of your mount and you can then slew to targets from within Stellarium. Any alignment adjustments you make within SharpCap should also be adjusted and show in Stellarium. Personally I didn't take to it, but many people enjoy using it.

Cheers, Robin
