M33, Triangulum Galaxy, Vixen 81s + Altair 183C

7 Sep 2019, intermittent cloud, moon had set.

Equipment: Celestron AVX mount, Vixen 81s refractor, Altair 1.0x flattener, Altair 183C V2, no filters.
Capture: 80x90s, 80 darks, 100 bias, 100 flats. Unguided. Focus with Bahtinov Mask.
Software: SharpCap 3.2, FITS Liberator (to inspect test frame), Siril (calibration, registration, stacking, crop, colour calibration, green noise removal), Gimp (Curves, Saturation, Contrast).
Capture settings were RAW12, gain 400, black level 50 (black level established by using lowest value which gives centralised histogram for bias frame at gain 400).

25 frames failed to register (due to cloud). Not ideal conditions and this object really needs as much data as possible.

Hi Dave,

Nice shot the clouds lately are a bit of a pain in the butt as it starts out nice then deteriorates usually just after you get everything setup and start imaging. Hopefully as Autumn / Winter sets in it might settle down a little it was cool last night as it dropped to 6.5c whilst I was imaging.

Cheers

Thanks Nick. The conditions have been less than optimal over recent weeks.

Thanks Wikkett. I have been looking around on disks for my last effort at this object. I think I may have removed all traces of it - not that there was much to see.
